Ilves’ sky in the hockey Champions League started with a narrow victory.

Ilves opened their season in the hockey Champions League, or CHL, with a victory, when the Polish team Unia Oswiecim, who visited Tampere, fell 4–3 in Hakametsä. The winning goal was completed in the opening minute of overtime Eemeli Finland.
