On Saturday, Leverkusen will face Leipzig in the Bundesliga. Matej Kovar replaces Lukas Hradecky in the home team’s goal.
The goalkeeper of the Finnish men’s national football team and the German club Leverkusen Lukas Hradecky is still ill and had to miss Saturday’s Leverkusen-Leipzig match.
The Spanish coach of reigning German champion and cup winner Leverkusen Xabi Alonso opened Hradecky’s situation at the pre-match press conference and had to let the Czech keeper into the team’s goal Matej Kovarin.
Hradecky saved a 3-2 win over Mönchengladbach in the opening match of the Bundesliga just over a week ago. Kovar, a familiar substitute from last season, played the German Cup match on Wednesday and stopped Jena 1–0, and Hradecky didn’t even recover to playing condition for the weekend.
Hradecky has been named to the Finnish player group that is preparing for the Nations League starting next week. Huuhkajat will face Greece on September 7 and England on September 10.
