Île-de-France Mobilités reports a new phishing campaign aimed at Navigo pass users with alarmist messages claiming a defect in payment. Do not fall into the trap!
Since the beginning of February 2025, a new phishing scam has targeted subscribers from the Navigo pass. Fraudulent emails, claiming to come from Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), have been reported, asking users to regularize non-existent arrears. Behind these messages, hide cybercriminals seeking to collect sensitive personal data. This phishing campaign aims to sow panic among users, evoking the suspension of their transport titles if they do not react quickly.
These emails are particularly well developed, imitating the style of official IDFM communications. They use alarmist objects such as “Your account has an unpaid “and encourage victims to click on a link leading to a fraudulent site where their personal data can be stolen. The main objective is not directly financial, but rather to steal information such as bank details, addresses, or even connection identifiers.
Navigo pass scam: deactivation for non-payment
IDFM, the organization responsible for transporting transport in Île-de-France, is familiar with this kind of fraud. In recent months, several similar phishing campaigns have been launched, especially during the Paris Olympic Games, creating an atmosphere of distrust among subscribers or, more recently, at the end of 2024, with a pseudo reimbursement scam. However, this new wave seems even more targeted, mainly affecting regular Navigo pass users.
Faced with this threat, IDFM reacted quickly. Recommendations have been disseminated to make users aware of these fraud attempts. It is advisable to always check the authenticity of emails, paying attention to the address of the sender and the URL of the sites offered. IDFM also recalls that it is essential to never click on links contained in suspect emails, and to go directly to the official website to manage your subscription.
Subscribers can also check the condition of their account by connecting via safe applications such as IDF Mobility, Bonjour RATP or SNCF Connect. These platforms are the only ones to guarantee effective protection against scams. The body continues to file a systematically complaint for each fraud detected and ensures constant monitoring of these flight attempts.
