The Ikea website has just reported two recalls of products that have been widely popular in recent months.
Ikea may be one of the French people’s favorite brands, but that doesn’t stop the company from sometimes having some mishaps, particularly product returns. Most often, these are objects or electrical appliances that can pose risks to your health or safety. Whether it’s a malfunction or a manufacturing defect, dangerous products sold by Ikea are systematically reported on the company’s website.
Indeed, Ikea regularly updates its own website. In addition to adding new products, the brand also takes the opportunity to make certain recalls of items previously on sale in its stores or directly on its online shopping site. This allows Ikea to quickly inform its customers and to inform those who do not necessarily visit the store regularly.
A few days ago, Ikea added two references to its product recall category. These are mobile chargers from the Varmfront brand, very often acclaimed for their efficiency and their quality/price ratio. Many customers generally come across them while browsing the website or in a store and are attracted by their low price, which makes them good, efficient chargers to help out without blowing your budget.
But these chargers could well cause something else to explode if we are to believe the product recall page on the site. The brand’s evaluators have noticed fire risks in two chargers in the Varmfront range and more specifically the 10,400 mAh models (model E2038), manufacturing date (AASS) 2313, 2316, 2318 or 2319 as well as the Varmfront universal mobile charger 5200 mAh (model E2037), manufacturing date (AASS) 2318, 2319 or 2322. Ikea is therefore asking customers who own these two chargers to stop using them immediately.
Those affected can then either go to a store or contact Ikea via their official website or phone number to get a new replacement product or a refund for their devices. If you purchased these two chargers a long time ago, rest assured: the brand does not require any proof of purchase such as a receipt to benefit from the replacement or refund.
