The USB charger Åskstorm 40W can cause superficial burns and electric shocks.
Customers who own the dark gray charger with article number 50461193 are therefore asked to stop using the charger and contact Ikea for a refund.
“Safety is the highest priority for IKEA and therefore the ÅSKSTORM 40W USB charger dark gray is being recalled due to the risk of superficial burns and electric shock caused by wear on the power cable,” the company writes in a press release.
Ikea writes that problems arise when the power cable has been worn – which can happen if the cord has been bent back and forth for a long time.
