Ikea issues new warning Regrettable

Sensitive information is requested

“This is something that Ikea would not do.”, Ikea writes on its homepage.

Ikea also points out that many of these campaigns can look very credible, and they are now urging their customers to be critical of unlikely offers. If you suspect that you have been the victim of a fraud attempt, you should immediately contact both the bank and the police to block the bank card and try to have the fraudsters prosecuted.

News24 has sought Ikea for a comment, which means that they are taking the situation seriously.

– There are always fake campaigns like this going on, it’s regrettable and a lot of work, says Sandra Jakobpress contact at Ikea.
