If Iivo Niskanen the going was still a bit sticky on Saturday, on Sunday in the Suomen Cup he showed a clearly better hitting ability in the traditional relay. Niskanen took Puijo Skiing Club’s anchor section from 43 seconds back to the top group, eventually finishing third in the race.

– A couple of three meters was too much of a difference on the hill, so you couldn’t hit the end of the peis.
Niskanen visited Kalle Parantainen after the race to give quick feedback.
– Nothing in that. You have to defend the place, but you don’t have to jump on skis.
Not just against Iivo
Jämin Jänne skied to victory ahead of Vuokatti Ski Team.
Skiing was the anchor of the tendon Lauri Lepistö. On Saturday, the skier who beat Iivo Niskanen in the 12 kilometer free intermediate start race believed that a 30-second lead would be enough for Niskanen.
– I didn’t just ski against Iivo. We have a lot of friends for the 7.5 kilometer run, this terrain and that final stretch. Therefore, I had to do the work myself. For the second time this season, they were able to win the scrimmage, Lepistö stated.
In addition to Lepistö, the team also skis Cross mat Hakola and Markus Vuorela. Less surprisingly, the women’s race was won by the Vuokatti Ski Team before the Ikaalinen Athletes.
