Igor Mendjisky, the toy tale of the imagination

Igor Mendjisky the toy tale of the imagination

The actor and director Igor Mendjisky offers until December 17 on the stage of the theater of La Colline a modern, protean and poetic rewriting of the tale of the Brothers Grimm ” Hansel and Gretel “.

As soon as they enter the theater room, the children feel at home, and the adults fall back into childhood. Who doesn’t want to go on stage, and take a seat among the toys that populate the children’s room in which this story will take place?

It is these figurines, these puppets and other soft toys, cleverly manipulated by three actors, which will open our imagination, and tell us an initiatory, poetic and often funny story, a police investigation between classroom, media library and mysterious forest, with earthy and colorful characters.

For his first creation intended for the whole family, Igor Menjisky freely adapts the tale of the Brothers Grimm ” Hansel and Gretel “, and tells us about it at the height of children with his accomplice Sylvain Debry.

Gretel, Hansel and the others » is to be discovered in Paris, at the Théâtre national-théâtre de la Colline, until December 17th.
