Millions of people live almost addicted to coffee and coffee machines. Unfortunately, the attention paid to taste and consistency is not shown for the hygiene of coffee machines. We are aware that the items in the house, especially in the kitchen, should be cleaned regularly for our health. So, do we give the same attention to the coffee machine? The results of a study on coffee machines that are used every day, maybe many times, were very surprising.
COFFEE MACHINES BACTERIA HOUSING!
It turned out that coffee machines whose equipment was not cleaned were a nest of bacteria. American broadcaster CBS Chicago studied the coffee machines of ten families in a neighborhood.
His reporters took the devices to a lab, where the researchers thoroughly checked them for bacteria. Samples were taken from the ground coffee tray, the water flowing part, and the water tank.
RESULTS SHOCKED
It turned out that pathogens such as staphylococcus, streptococcus, bacillus cereus were found in the coffee machines examined. Even more worrying, however, was traces of E. coli bacilli found in one of the machines. The amount and size of bacteria differed in each machine. For example, the parcel bacillus was found in only one machine.
ATTENTION TO THE WATER TANK
The most bacteria appeared in the water tank of the coffee machine. For your health, clean your coffee machines regularly.
