In order to be protected from the coronavirus, it is necessary to be vaccinated at regular intervals. Some people are hesitant to get vaccinated because of the side effects after being vaccinated. These side effects, which vary depending on people’s body resistance, are usually seen in the form of fever, pain or weakness. According to the statement made by Japanese scientists, people with fever after the second dose of vaccine have higher antibody levels.
THOSE WITH FEVER OVER 38 DEGREES HAVE ANTIBODY 1.8 TIMES MORE
Examining the relationship between side effects after vaccination and the effectiveness of the vaccine, experts from Kyushu University Hospital and Fukuoka City Hospital measured the antibody levels of 335 healthcare workers who were administered the 2nd dose of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine. As a result of the research, the team concluded that antibody formation was higher in people who showed symptoms of high fever after vaccination, and observed that the antibody level was on average 1.8 times higher in people with fever of 38 degrees or higher than those with fever below 37 degrees.
FEVER REDUCER DOES NOT REDUCE ANTIBODY LEVEL
According to the study, it was learned that antipyretic drugs used to treat post-vaccine side effects such as fever, pain and fatigue do not reduce antibody levels.
