If you do this in Hotel romance then you

The SVT hit “Hotell Romantik” – where seniors date and try to find love – has been successful in recent years and on January 12, 2025, the third season premiered. For eight weeks, the viewers will get to hang out with a group where the age cannot be younger than 65+, go on dates and perform various activities together in the hope of finding love.

This year the program has new presenters in the form of the P3 profile Linnéa Wikblad and the children’s program manager Markus Granseth which now replaces the previous radar pair Keyyo and Erik Ekstrand.

We will instead see Keyyo lead the Melodifestivalen together with Edvin Törnblom.

For those who don’t know, the seniors are flown to a castle hotel in the Polish countryside where the dating with various activities will then take place. Every day, the tour guides select the couple of the evening who will spend the night together in the romantic love nest.

When the week is over, the participants are faced with a choice: stay at the hotel with a new found love or go home single.

Although the gang has quite a bit of freedom, there are some rules they have to abide by during their stay.

Rules in SVT’s Hotel romance 2025

When News24 previously asked the production about alcohol and cohabitation, the answer was clear.

– We talked a lot about it before with the participants. That we didn’t want anyone to be so influenced that they didn’t know what they were doing or saying, said 2024’s project manager Kristin Bleckberg.

– Regarding rules about sex, consent was required. But we didn’t have rules that they couldn’t have sex, it was up to them, she said.

This year asked News24 project manager Hans Abrahamsson what can get the participants sent home. And the answer was:

– Hotel Romantik has a code of conduct that all participants undertake to follow. It is fundamentally based on behaving respectfully, so that the stay at the hotel is a positive experience for everyone, he said and continued:

– Last season, it was a participant who chose to cancel his hotel stay, in consultation with the production, when he felt that the context did not suit him. In this year’s season, many lovely and strong personalities participate and the temperature will be high. If everyone stays the whole period, you’ll see if you follow the series, concludes Hans.
