If you change your character during the new campaign, it could cost you your progress

The last expansion to the light and darkness saga, “The Final Shape,” is launching today in Destiny 2, but what would a release be without serious bugs that cost you progress? We’ll show you what you need to look out for at the start.

What did Bungie announce? Before the release of “The Final Shape,” Bungie listed important information and known bugs on their website (via bungie.net) that you should know about before launch.

One piece of information in particular concerns the progress you can make with your Guardian upon release of the DLC, as this may not be able to be saved if you play in a squad with other Guardians.

At Bungie, no release is without bugs

How can I prevent this error? It is important that you stick with a character when you start the story. You should also not join a squad and help them with missions.

So if you have found a squad, you should stick with it and complete the story with one character. Otherwise, your progress in the story may not be saved and you may have to play individual parts or even the whole thing again.

This would be particularly devastating if you want to take part in the latest raid of “The Final Shape” early and get the necessary light level for Day One through the heroic quest.

What other important errors are there? In fact, there are only minor things that players might find annoying. These include:

  • PC gamers who have 3D audio enabled cannot hear any sound
  • The pop-up of “Exits to Final Form” has the wrong keyart
  • When prismatic hunters activate their new ulti while dangling, they fall
  • The Hunter aspect that increases your Bladefire ulti blades does not work
  • The description of the Hunter’s Arc Staff ultimate does not mention a blinding effect after a three-way combo or slam attack
  • How will you start “The Final Shape”? Do you already have a squad of clan colleagues or friends together, or will you defeat the witness as a lone wolf? Let us know your opinion in the comments!
