If you benefit from aid from CAF, MSA or ASPA, you may be eligible for Orange’s Coup de Pouce offer! A way to access high-speed Internet at a low price!
As digital technology takes an increasingly prominent place in daily life, access to it has become a key issue for French citizens. Paying for the canteen, carrying out administrative procedures online at Pôle Emploi or CAF, paying your taxes… So many essential services that are difficult to access for millions of French people in digital precariousness. And this, even though public services are increasingly dematerialized. Result: not being connected means accentuating your social precariousness. Especially since the Internet allows access to certain financial aid!
Also, to reduce the digital divide, Orange is offering a “Coup de Pouce Internet” offer to people benefiting from certain social minimums. This no-obligation subscription has a fixed price of 15.99 euros, with a high-speed connection via optical fiber. Excellent news, as inflation hits French households hard!
Coup de Pouce Internet: low-cost fiber at Orange
The “Coup de Pouce Internet” offer was launched at the end of 2020, after confinement, and has gradually expanded its beneficiaries. This offer was co-constructed with associations in Hauts-de-France (Mission local de Lille, Corif, Sport dans ma ville, etc.) and Action Tank Entreprise et Pauvreté. She understands :
- High-speed Fiber or ADSL Internet access: up to 500 Mbit/s downstream and 500 Mbit/s upstream.
- Access to landlines with unlimited calls to landlines in mainland France, overseas territories and more than 110 destinations.
- Orange TV : up to 140 TV channels included with the Orange Decoder. The Decoder activation fee is €40 (on request).
This offer includes the provision of a Livebox 5 equipped with Wi-Fi 5 and 4 Ethernet ports. Everything can be controlled very simply and instantly from the My Livebox application. Note that the infrastructures of the historic operator in France are of excellent quality and generally offer a constant flow. The price is really interesting because, normally, the Livebox Fiber offer from the historic operator, which offers similar speeds, costs €24.99 per month for the first six months then 42.99 euros per month. Quite a difference!
But when we are in a precarious situation, we do not necessarily have the means to equip ourselves with a computer and we are not always very comfortable with digital tools. This is why Orange’s “social” offer goes further and allows subscribers to purchase a refurbished laptop PC at the preferential price of €169 and to participate in free digital workshops to help them use digital technology on a daily basis. .
Coup de Pouce Internet: what are the conditions to benefit from it?
However, you must meet certain conditions to be able to benefit from this “social” subscription. Thus, you must have a family quotient CAF (Family Allowance Fund) or MSA (Mutualité Sociale Agricole) less than or equal to €700, or be a senior beneficiary of ASPA (Solidarity Allowance for Elderly People).
To benefit from the “Coup de Pouce Internet” offer, provide yourself with a certificate dated less than two months from the CAF, the MSA or your pension fund, a bank identity statement, a valid identity card, passport, residence permit or resident card, as well as proof of address. If you receive one of these aids or if you think you are eligible, contact the affiliation organization in question to obtain your family quotient certificate. For ASPA beneficiaries, contact your pension fund to obtain your proof. Finally, contact Orange Customer Service on 3900 or make an appointment in an Orange store.
