Path of Exile 2 is currently considered to be the most difficult new ARPG. But a new representative on Steam now wants to make it even more difficult.
What kind of game is this? Path of Exile 2 is not only popular right now, but it’s also one of the more difficult ARPGs on the market. Some people even compare the game to Dark Souls. But things will be even more difficult in the new Project Pantheon.
The new title from the developers at Wolcen Studio relies entirely on hardcore aspects. Anyone who makes a mistake will quickly regret it in ARPG.

What sets the game apart? In the game, which describes itself as an “extrAction RPG”, you experience the typical dungeon crawler experience – but with the twist that you have to make it to the exit with your gear and your loot.
If you don’t do that, you’ll be rid of all your junk. Also the one you brought with you. The influence of Escape From Tarkov and Dark and Darker is hard to pinpoint. What is interesting, however, is the gameplay, which is supposed to be reminiscent of Path of Exile 2 or Diablo 4.
If you make it to the exit with your loot and equipment, you can trade the items you win with other adventurers. The economy of the ARPG should be completely in the hands of the players.

When does Project Pantheon start? The title is currently still in development. However, you will soon be able to try it out for the first time in the first free test. This will take place from Saturday, January 25th, 2025 to Sunday, January 26th, 2025.
Registration for the test takes place via playgdr.com. Although the test will be hosted on Steam, the game’s official Steam page has not yet been published. On the developer’s website you have to answer a few questions and provide your email address to register for the test.
A combination of Escape from Tarkov and Path of Exile 2 sounds like one of the most difficult games currently available. Path of Exile 2 in particular thrives on sophisticated builds that are refined over many hours of play. Many players probably don’t want to imagine losing everything in one fell swoop.
