Adrian Kempe about the future • “I am very happy in LA – no need to move right now”
Kramfors-son’s contract with Kings expires after the next season and he says that the parties have not started any discussions about an extension yet, but that he is happy and is happy to stay in Los Angeles.
His goal is to continue playing in the NHL as long as the body allows, but would it be a return to Swedish hockey in the future, he points out two options.
It is no secret that Adrian Kempe and his brother Mario grew up as Djurgård supporters (both have also played in the team at junior and senior level) and the 08 team he also sees as a potential club choice.
Cheering most at Djurgården
– If Djurgården had gone up to SHL, it would of course have been an alternative, especially when living there. But there are many good teams in Sweden, but it is probably Djurgården that I cheer on most, he tells hockeysverige.se.
The other is Modo.
– Then I played in Modo when I was younger and it would have been fun to come back there and play too.
Adrian Kempe is listed for 44 points (24+20) in 51 matches in Kings this season.
He is selected Tre Kronor’s squad to Four Nations, which starts on February 12.
