(Finance) – With “IBE Driving Experience 2023” the world of sustainable collective transport is back on track. The appointment of Italian Exhibition Group will be held on 24 and 25 October at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” of Misano Adriatico, While IBE Intermobility and Bus Expo, the biannual reference exhibition event in the sector, will take place at the Rimini fair in 2024. “IBE Driving Experience” is a two-day meeting and test drive for private bus operators and local and long-distance public transport operators during which they alternate business moments with refresher and training opportunities. On 24 and 25 October the Misano circuit will be transformed into the reference platform for the entire sector, a meeting opportunity – IEG said in a note – to consolidate the relationship between manufacturers, suppliers of services, software and technologies, renters , buyers, bus operators, TPL operators, and trade associations.
“LPT and extra-urban transport: public-private partnership for intermobility in cities and village tourism” is the opening event of the “IBE Driving Experience”, and will be an opportunity to take stock of the challenges that intermobility poses for operators, new energy players and institutions with the aim of outlining a path of collaboration between public and private, with a focus on extra-urban transport and its relationship with cities. The event will allow you to range from current policies to existing funding dedicated to the development of internal areas. We will talk about the contribution of motor tourism as a meeting point between Made in Italy industrial heritage and local economies and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) as an enabling factor to improve the quality of life in cities and promote the development of territories.
Even this year “IBE Driving Experience” will see the participation of major industrial mobility players, between builders and producers in the supply chain. I am 9 brands will participate in the test drive event. Among these they will present their own electric range IVECO BUS, KARSAN, ISUZU BUS, PEPPERMOTION – ETROFIT, FOTON and MAN winner at Busworld in Brussels, with the 10-metre Lion’s City, of the Sustainable Bus of The Year 2024 award in the urban bus category. “IBE Driving Experience” also hosts theOpen day of “School’s out”, a project developed together with Start team for students from professional and technical schools in Romagna with mechanical, electronic and mechatronic courses. A program which, between October 2023 and June 2024, will make students discover the employment potential offered by the collective road transport sector, making them concretely closer to this industry and passionate about the increasingly digital, emerging professions.
Misano will also be home to the first edition of “Electric Bus Driver Training”, a theoretical and practical course dedicated exclusively to electric bus drivers. A project, developed in collaboration between IBE Intermobility and Bus Expo, ADDESTRA, Efficient Driving and Pullman magazine which focuses on the theoretical-practical knowledge of the technologies and skills necessary to drive electric buses safely. IVECO BUS will provide two fully electric E-Way buses for training, thus helping to promote sustainable mobility in cities.
It will be dedicated to the new dynamics of the sector between manufacturers and bodybuilders.event “Bus&Coach: new sources of traction, technology and reorganization of industrial supply chains. Electric drives the repositioning of the bus industry”. The “highlight” topic of the conference will be a possible new phase of partnership to grow the market. The post-pandemic crisis on the one hand and the transition towards electromobility on the other have pushed manufacturers to further outsource production and give up on the idea of completely making vehicles themselves. After years of competition, the large manufacturers are now considering new collaborations with companies specializing in bodywork, this time as allies.
