Sonic 3 will be in theaters later this year. Idris Elba is there again as Knuckles. But Keanu Reeves is also there this time. Elba is particularly happy about this.
Which Sonic movie is it about? The new Sonic film will be released in German cinemas on December 25, 2024, just in time for Christmas. The first part was published in 2020, the second in 2022.
The voices of Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, and Idris Elba as Knuckles. A new addition to the third film is Shadow.
This character only appeared in a short post-credits sequence in the last film. There was already a teaser that Shadow would play a larger role in Sonic 3. And that’s how it happens.
Shadow is voiced by none other than Keanu Reeves. Fans of the actor should be very happy about this – one of them is even part of the Sonic cast: Idris Elba.

How did Idris Elba react to Keanu Reeves? In a short interview with IGN, Idris Elba opened up about the upcoming Sonic film and how excited he is about the casting of Keanu Reeves.

The actor seems to be genuinely looking forward to working together. According to Elba, Keanu Reeves feels the same way about this. However, it would not be the first joint project. The two Hollywood stars were already represented at another very popular brand.
Keanu Reeves didn’t just have hits in his career – his biggest flop was actually really expensive.
Which brand are you talking about? Both Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves are on board in the game Cyberpunk 2077 from the Polish development studio CD Project RED.
Keanu Reeves plays the headstrong Johnny Silverhand, who accompanies the player throughout most of the story. Idris Elba, on the other hand, only came into play with the extensive “Phantom Liberty” expansion. In it he played Solomon Reed, a secret agent.
In the game, both of them not only lend their characters their voices, but also their faces and bodies. This is of course different in Sonic 3 due to the template. Knuckles and Shadow are animated characters from the computer.
It shouldn’t be too long until the first trailer appears. After all, the release of the film is already planned for December.
