In the statement made by the IDF, “As part of improving the readiness of IDF forces in the Northern Command sector, reserve forces have been deployed in settlements close to the border fence in the north in recent days. These forces perform various defensive duties in settlements, such as patrolling, ambushing and barricading to ensure the safety of residents. “In addition, the Northern Command will be reinforced with a large number of additional forces this week to strengthen its command and control response and preparedness in the region.”
