Twitch streamer Broeki was forced to propose to his girlfriend because of an X/Twitter post in which he made a bet if Germany would win the soccer match against Hungary.
Who is the streamer? Broeki is a German Twitch streamer who has been delighting his viewers since at least 2016. With an average of around 1,300 viewers in the last three months, he is best known for his League of Legends content (via Twitchtracker). He has already streamed this game for over 10,000 hours. The streamer has also made a name for himself in the general League of Legends scene.
He is also known for his appearances with streamer Maximilian “HandOfBlood” Knabe. HandOfBlood, the president of the eSports club Eintracht Spandau, has established himself as a popular character. Broeki plays the role of the caretaker in the club’s lore.

Through a bet to a marriage proposal
How did the bet come about? On June 19th, HandOfBlood will be streaming, with Broeki also being a guest. On that day, the football match between Germany and Hungary will take place, which HandOfBlood’s guests and Broeki himself will be eagerly discussing.
Broeki explains that he is following the new trend on Twitter/X: “If Germany wins, I’ll do what the top comment suggests.” The suggestions under his post range from daily selfies until the end of the year, to a year of active training in the gym, to an OnlyFans career.
But none of these suggestions shocks Broeki as much as his own girlfriend’s comment: “Marriage proposal.”
How do the others react to the bet? HandOfBlood is stunned when Broeki tells him that his girlfriend posted the comment. “I would like to move in together first,” the streamer comments. While HandOfBlood and his guests are shocked, he adds: “I would rather sit down on a glass than propose marriage now.”
This statement causes laughter and further discussion. Another guest suggests: “When she moves here, propose marriage straight away – and then it’s done.”
HandOfBlood then seriously asks whether the topic of marriage is completely new for Broeki and his girlfriend or whether they have talked about it before, to which Broeki replies: “That’s out of fucking nowhere. This is the first time I’ve heard that!”.
“Would you like to take me as your husband, Thunny?”
How will the situation end? While Broeki probably hoped that Germany would lose, the German team won 2-0. On Twitter/X he posted: “Well, I can’t get out of this now either,” as his girlfriend’s comment still had the most likes.
A short time later, he published a video in which he fulfilled his bet: “Hey, hello, darling. This is the fulfillment of my bet, but maybe I’m a little serious. Would you, Thunny, like to take me as your husband? That – that would be nice. I would be happy about that. And otherwise, best wishes to the parents too.”
Does she accept the proposal? Thunny, Broeki’s girlfriend, then commented: “Thanks to all the sweet bunnies who cheered for us – however, Broeki and I are not ready for such a big decision yet, so my answer is no, BUT who knows what the future holds.”
