Icon Juha Mieto to fierce attack on Finland after the huge fiasco in the Olympics – completely slaughters the home country: “We are…”

Finland stood for a historic wretched fiasco in the Summer Olympics.
Never before have you left an Olympics without a single medal.
Now the icon Juha Mieto goes on a hard attack against his own homeland.

Sweden made a big impression during the Summer Olympics by winning a total of eleven medals in Paris. It is the best Olympic effort by a Swedish national team since the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.

Finland’s fiasco

But in our neighboring country Finland, it is so much worse. Finland’s Olympic effort was brutally poor, setting a new record low in the nation’s sporting history.

Finland left the Summer Olympics in Paris without a single medal. The blue and whites have never experienced that, that you leave an Olympics completely without a medal.

Mieto furious

Now many are extremely worried about the future of Finnish sports. Former ski star Aino-Kaisa Saarinen says that it would have been a bigger surprise if Finland had won an Olympic medal.
– The situation has been developing in this direction for several years. It is disappointing that they have not succeeded in reversing the trend, she says to the newspaper Ilta-Sanomat.

The Olympic icon and skiing hero Juha Mietowho himself won Olympic gold in cross-country skiing in 1976, is even angrier and now goes on a hard attack. He is demanding a major overhaul of the sports clubs in the country and an Olympic committee in Finland.
– We are in the swamp. It’s time to look at yourself in the big mirror, says Mieto to the Finnish newspaper.
– There should be a critical approach to the results. Athletes and coaches should come down to earth and not imagine that they are already on their way to the podium. One must focus on the amount of training and getting adequate rest.

Mieto thinks that training must be more versatile from an early age and also points out social media as a big problem.
– In the past there weren’t these cursed Facebook and Twitter (now X). They should be completely left aside. The time spent fiddling with them should be spent resting. There should be a prohibition policy that is planned in schools, that they may not be used at all in sports, says a very irritated Juha Mieto.
