Ice hockey: Women’s crowns Sofie Lundin in the WC after tough times

Sofie Lundin left SDHL in 2022 to play in college but didn’t get the confidence she hoped for at Ohio State University. After just over a year, she made the tough decision to drop out of school and leave the United States.

– I did not get the trust I had hoped for. It was difficult to find your way back to the player you were before. It becomes a vicious circle, says Lundin.

The forward moved home to Sweden in the middle of the season and has played in Frölunda since then.

    – There were very tough months when I had to make the decision. A lot of back and forth as to what I would do. A big decision to make, but I think I received good support from Frölunda and have had my parents who supported me.
