William Eklund had a fun game against the San Jose Sharks. He scored both 1-0 and 2-0 on the power play in the first before the St. Louis Blues managed to equalize.
Barely four minutes into extra time, the young Swede stepped forward again. The 3-2 goal was a solo number across the court which he finished with a fine shot.
He cheered loudly with his teammates.
– We have stayed together as a team despite setbacks this winter. This was a big step in the right direction, says Eklund, according to NHL.com.
Eklund is in his third NHL season and will get more playing time this year.
