Ice hockey: Tre Kronor netted again against Finland – after a fine solo performance

The first goal of the match came with barely five minutes left to play in the first period. Örebro player Björninen feinted away two Swedish players before popping the puck past Carl Lindbom in the Swedish goal.

Sweden eventually lost 3–0, after first Markus Nurmi and then Tobias Winberg (in an open goal) netted.

“Very disappointed”

Thus, Tre Kronor was tied for the second night in a row against Finland in Linköping. Yesterday it was 0-2.

– We were very disappointed with the effort yesterday, but we will come out and play as a much better hockey team today. Then it’s very frustrating to play two home games without scoring, says Swedish national team captain Sam Hallam to Viaplay.

Next up is the Betano Hockey Games in Switzerland and the Czech Republic for the Swedish national ice hockey team.
