– More than enough situations are created both today and on Thursday to score more goals, but it does not go in. They are too bad, Jonathan Dahlén tells HockeyNews.
The large audience in the newly renovated Avicii Arena, or the Globe as it is often called in the people’s mouth, was not invited to any cracking goal party when Tre Kronor received Switzerland in Beijer Hockey Games.
Instead, it became an attacked story, where Sweden was in the driver’s seat during the majority of the match.
Filip Berglund opened Saturday’s goal account in the seventh minute, and then it would be a long time before the next goal.
Three Kronor got the chance to increase to 2-0 in a long powerplay, after Jonas Taibel went on a match penalty. But the goal production failed, and at the end of the third period Switzerland would instead make 1-1 and take the match to an extension.
Once there, the Switzerland number was also stronger, and took home the win.
Sweden thus has two losses so far in Beijer Hockey Games, after starting by 1-4 against the Czech Republic. Three Kronor ends the home tour on Sunday against Finland, with a drop at 16.00.
