Ice hockey: The HV71 coach’s sawing – after the nightmare start: “Under all criticism”

The home team Luleå got off to a flying start against second-place team HV71. After less than 13 minutes of play, Norrbottningen had acquired a 3-0 lead.

The 1–0 goal was video reviewed because the puck went in via Markus Nurmi’s skate, but it was determined that Nurmi was not responsible for any kicking motion.

Luleå new series leader

Luleå won the match 6–2 and is the new league leader in the SHL after 18 rounds.

As for HV71, it’s pitch black right now. The Jönköping team has four straight losses and has ten points up to safe ground in the table.

HV coach Anton Blomqvist was interviewed after the nightmare start in the first period and was anything but satisfied.

– It is under all criticism, right through. We come out incredibly weak and are messy with the puck. I don’t think we take the driving duels that we need, he says in TV4 Play and continues:

– Naive through and through and it’s just me. My job is to prepare my team and today it was not enough
