Ice hockey: Swedish scoring party in Detroit – William Eklund with delicacy

The Swedes were on their toes when the Red Wings took on the Sharks. William Eklund’s pass for Nico Sturm’s 2–0 goal completely fooled Detroit’s defense.

– I saw the three guys and when I turned my back I saw Nico coming. He made a hell of a game in the breakout, says Eklund.

26 seconds into the second period, he made sure to score himself.

Lucas Raymond sent in a reduction for the home team to 3-4 but they got no closer than that.

San Jose won 6–3, snapping Detroit’s seven-game winning streak.
