Ice hockey: Svedberg with a great save when Björklöven drove over Brynäs

Svedberg’s save came at a critical stage of the match.

Björklöven led 2–0 halfway into the second period when Brynäs pressed hard for a reduction. And a reduction would probably have come if it wasn’t for Svedberg.

Björklöven’s goalkeeper basically looked overplayed when Greg Scott got the chance with a direct shot from close range. But Svedberg moved quickly from one post to the other, dropped the stick and saved with the inside of the shot.

– It’s a fantastic rescue, says TV4 Play’s expert Fredrik Söderström in the broadcast.

Later in the period, Scott Pooley was able to make it 3–0.

On the other hand, there was no score for Svedberg, who had a reduction puck sail into the net at the end of the match.

Björklöven won 5–1 and rises to fifth place in the hockey Allsvenskan table.
