Sweden dominated the match throughout and he scored both 1-0, 2-0 and 3-0 in the first period. First through a pattern attack signed by Joakim Nygård and Tim Heed.
Shortly afterwards, Marcus Hardegård arrived. The 2-0 goal was the 26-year-old’s first in Tre Kronor.
– A great hockey goal through and through, says SVT’s expert Jonas Andersson.
“At the bottom”
The period was complete when Oscar Lindberg, with 15 seconds left, made it 3-0. Andersson claimed that nothing spoke for a Swiss turn, and of course he was right.
After double Swedish goals in the second period, Switzerland did come a little closer, but there was never any talk of the matter. Tre Kronor won the match 5-2 and are thus still undefeated in the Beijer Hockey Games.
Tomorrow, Finland is waiting for Sweden, in what will be the last match of the tournament. SVT broadcasts starting at 15.50.
