In the middle of the second period, FBK was careless in the power play in the middle zone. Rodrigo Abols snatched the puck away. In a two-on-one situation, he flicked in 3-1 for Rögle, who scored his third goal in five minutes.
A shocked Färjestad took a timeout. Färjestad tried to get a reduction at least when Linus Sandin got hold of the puck on the right wing. From a tight angle, he distinctly lifted in 4-1 high behind Carl Lindbom.
In numerical superiority, Sandin struck again and made it 5-1, again high behind Lindbom, before the period ended.
