Ice hockey: Rögle also took round two in Karlstad – has series winner Färjestad in the dock: “Perfect from our side”

– The first and second period are perfect from our side, then they naturally come with a push in the third period. Then it was important to be ready when they got their chances, but we had a really good cooperation at the back and the players trusted me, says Rögle’s goalkeeper Christoffer Rifalk to TV4 Play.

With just over two minutes left, Färjestad’s goalkeeper Carl Lindbom was replaced and the packed arena tried to support his team, which played with six against five outfield players. Instead, Linus Sandin scored 3-0 in an empty net in the final seconds.

– It will be a good match picture for Rögle after the two power play goals, cheap expulsions I think. We don’t lay down and die and the sun comes up tomorrow. We have to show more desperation, says Färjestad’s coach Tomas Mitell whose team now has two away games in Ängelholm.

Rögle’s first two goals came on the power play in the first period.
