Rasmus Dahlin had both a goal and a double assist as his Buffalo routed Washington 6-2.
The Swedish star back assisted on Buffalo’s first goal, the tie at 1-1 at the end of the first period.
Two power play goals, including Dahlin’s 4-2 goal, were long-awaited by the team.
– We talked a lot and finally let it go. We had many chances and didn’t score. It can create frustration but we handled it well and scored two really good goals today, says Dahlin according to nhl.com.
With the win, the team closes in on Washington, which is currently five points ahead of the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. However, Washington has played two fewer games.
Ullmark played great
Boston goalkeeper Linus Ullmark also had a successful day at work and kept a clean sheet against Nashville. The Swede saved all 32 shots when Boston won 3-0.
