The former national team captain of the Ladies’ Crowns has died.
“A bigger heart for women’s hockey is hard to find, which the USA, Spain, Austria and Hong Kong got to experience when he worked in those countries,” writes the Swedish Ice Hockey Association on its website.

Christian Yngve has passed away – he was 61 years old
It is Christian Yngve who has passed away.
This after a period of illness, writes ice hockey association.

Christian Yngve was involved from the start of Damkronorna’s history and a big reason for the success.
He was with both assistant and national team captain between 1989 and 2002, the last year the Women’s Crowns took a surprising Olympic bronze in Salt Lake City.
At club level, Christian Yngve worked for Västerhaninge and AIK.
Christian Yngve was 61 years old.
