When Washington was looking for a reduction in the final minutes, Mika Zibanejad caught the puck and found radar partner Chris Kreider in the center zone where he completely free scrimped against Charlie Lindgren in the Washington goal. He poked the puck in between a small gap between the skate and the left post for 4-1.
Tuesday is another game at Madison Square Garden in the best-of-seven series.
