The defender and former Modo player Victor Berglund was loaned from Kärpät for the match against Brynäs.
He and Mattias Norlinder got a few changes together in what turned out to be a successful start – victory over table leader Brynäs. Second game in a row that Norlinder gets to see his name in the score sheet.
– He said that if he was going to hang one, he would do it and then I took the opportunity to do it too, Norlinder continues.
Brynäs was on for an equalizer at the end, but Modo goalkeeper Lassi Lehtinen stood on the bench. Peter Forsberg celebrated at Läktaren.
The victory was important because Modo leaves the jumbo place and, at least temporarily, gets past HV71.
