It was in the middle of the second period that the cup ran over for the home team’s star Dick Axelsson.

First, he talked himself into being sent off from the substitution booth. When he then went over the ice on his way to the penalty box, he incurred a match penalty for “abuse of officials”. In the TV images, he appears to be saying something to linesman Anna Hammar.
– He talks to the linesman. Something is being said. You can see the look on the linesman who immediately went up and talked to the head referee who gave a match penalty, says commentator Stefan Klemetz.
“Nothing we comment on”
The Hockeyallsvenskan’s head referee Björn Wettergren does not want to comment on the situation or whether they will proceed with the incident.
“It is not something we are commenting on tonight,” he writes in a text message to SVT Sport.
In the subsequent game in numerical superiority, Kalmar scored 3–1. The guests eventually won 5–3.
– I am very disappointed. We come here with a miserable effort from the start. We are, quite frankly, humble. We know that Kalmar is a good team, but we are not prepared to take the job. It can be seen throughout the match, says coach Robert Kimby in TV4.
