– It’s good that we answered back in the third and that the long attacks went in our favor. We created enough chances to win, says Frölunda’s Max Friberg, who led 1-0.
– This could very well be a Game 7, says Friberg about the match series.
With less than seven minutes left, Leksand’s Peter Cehlarik equalized to make it 2-2 but 67 seconds later Ruohomaa came forward on the right wing and found the gap at Mantas Armali’s far post for 3-2.
“We neglected it”
Ruohomaa came in the middle of the season from Modo after the last two years playing in Leksand.
– We neglected it. When we get the equaliser, we must not let up and give him so much time, says Leksand’s coach Challe Berglund about Ruohomaa’s match-winning goal to TV4 Play.
– We have been in Scandinavium and snagged a match and have 1-1 with us from here, even though it tasted better with 2-0, says Berglund, whose Leksand now has two matches on home ice.
