Hockey coach Miika Elomo has died at the age of 47.

Elomo’s death is reported by his club Les Jokers Cergy-Pontoise on Instagram.

– As sad and shocked, we today heard about the departure of our head coach, the club writes.

– Our thoughts are with his wife, family and loved ones.

Other French Main Series teams have also taken into account Elomo’s departure.

Such was Miika Elomo’s career in hockey

Elomo made a long career as a hockey player. Elomo’s breeding club was Turku Kisa-Veikot. He was booked in the NHL in the first round and was recorded in two NHL matches in the Washington Capitals shirt.

At the AHL, he celebrated his club in the ranks of Saint-John Flames in the spring of 2001.

In the SM League, Elomo played 230 matches in the TPS, HIFK and Blues shirt for eight seasons. Elomo won two Finnish championships in TPS as a player.

Elomo also coached his long-term TPS as head coach in the Finnish Champions League in 2014-2015. He replaced the job I guess Suikkanen. Prior to this, Elomo had worked as the head coach of TPS A-Juniors and also as an assistant coach at TPS.
