Ice hockey: Brynäs won – after one of the fastest goals of the season

The Czech Noemi Neubauerová is doing her first season in Europe since she played at home in HC Kladno as a 15-year-old. Between these, she has lived in the United States where she played college hockey.

Before tonight’s meeting with Frölunda in Gothenburg, the now 24-year-old Neubauerová had a season in which she produced ten goals and five assists in 31 games.

Tonight she was on the ice when the puck was released for the first time – and twelve seconds later she had scored one of the fastest goals of the SDHL season.

The Gävle team went on the offensive immediately and after a finish that caught a covering red-clad defender, the puck appeared in front of Neubauerová who pushed the puck into the roof of the net (see clip above).

Won big

The Czech wasn’t finished there, but in the third period – when Brynäs led 4-2 – she scored her second goal of the evening when, in a numerical advantage, she looked for another loose puck in front of the box and extended the lead.

Brynäs finally won clearly with 6-2.

In the evening’s second SDHL meeting, Linköping won over Djurgården 3-0.
