Ice hockey: Björklöven took a heavy victory after Scott Pooley’s zorro goal

Scott Pooley was possibly inspired by Jonathan Lekkerimäki who yesterday scored a zorro goal for Örebro in the SHL. Just ten minutes into the match, he took the chance and opened the scoring for his Björklöven with a copy.

– It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, I didn’t think I’d actually be able to do it. I haven’t even made a goal like that in training. But it’s pretty cool and an important goal for us,” Pooley told TV4 Play, adding:

– I had a crazy idea to try. I was lucky it was on, otherwise I probably would have gotten some shit in the dressing room.

He didn’t get any shit, neither for that sequence nor for his play the rest of the game. Pooley made it 2-0 before the first period was over and ensured that Björklöven went up to 4-0 in the second period – with a hat-trick goal.

The win means that Björklöven maintains the distance of five points to Karlskoga in the fight for a place in the top six and a direct place to the quarter-finals in the playoffs.

Karlskoga also won during the evening, at home against Tingsryd with 5-1. There are still two rounds of the hockey Allsvenskan regular season.
