It was win or lose for “Löven” in Umeå this evening.
Djurgården was close to equalizing when Nicholas Schilkey got hold of the puck and shot up on the left side. When he went into the offensive zone, he turned to the right and got away from the Djurgårds defense and was able to score 3-1 in the middle of the third period.
Nerve after Rensfeldt’s reduction
However, there were nerves when Djurgården’s Ludvig Rensfeldt took off and fired a hard shot into the box that Niklas Svedberg was unable to save and 3-2 was a fact. After that, a cut Löven was hard pressed when Djurgården went for an equaliser.
In a last attempt to equalise, Djurgården picked out goalkeeper Viktor Andrén, who made a fantastic save with the pick after being transferred in the final minutes.
The next match will be played in Stockholm on Tuesday.
