Ice hockey: Auston Matthews scored goals number 67 and 68 – Jesper Bratt got the last word

It was Jesper Bratt who got the last word by making it 4-5 in the middle of the third period. With 1.14 left in the match, Bratt made it 5-6 and became the match winner.

The Swede made his way to the right wing from his own zone and veered towards the Toronto goal and put the puck in the far cross and ruined the party atmosphere in Toronto.

– We really showed how strong a team effort we can perform and come back in these really hard, emotional matches, says Bratt to the NHL.

“Is remarkable”

Matthews is one goal away from matching Mario Lemieux’s record of 69 goals in the 1995-96 season, which is the most accomplished by any player since then.

– There are three games left and it is important to focus on the small details, said Matthews who scored for the seventh game in a row – points in 13 games in a row.

John Tavares is impressed with his teammate.

– It is remarkable what he does. We see something really special and it’s just appreciable that we have such a player who does it every night, says Tavares.
