He has set a record as a youth player among several years older juniors.

He is the first player born in 2008 to have playing time in Swedish elite hockey. Now 16-year-old Viggo Björck, educated in Täby, has also scored in his debut for Djurgården in Hockeyallsvenskan.

After 6.16 in the third period, he managed to set the 5-1 goal.

– It’s really fun. I enjoy every change I get. It is also cool to just sit on the bench and hear the audience sing, Björck said in TV4 after the first period.

Reveals Eklund’s words

This is on the pass by Patrick Thoresen, 41, and Arvid Costmar, 23.

– A bouncing puck in the defense zone, we went on counter and then I got a damn good “flip” by Thoresen. Then Eklund said I would shoot before the match, he says about the goal.

Björck was born four years after Thoresen made his first matches for Djurgården in the 21st century.

The reaction: “goose bumps”

The giant talent has, among other things, beaten NHL star Lucas Raymond’s record for U17 points in the J20 series. As well as crushed the record in the J18 regional series with 26 points margin (98 points in 36 matches).

At the age of 16, he is eleven months and two days one of Hockeyallsvenskan’s youngest goal scorers of all time.

– I don’t know what to say. Really fun. It really means a lot, you got an adrenaline rush. Goose bumps, he says after the 6-1 victory.

Tomorrow Björck will play with the junior team again.
