Ice hockey: 0-6 worst period in Pittsburgh history: “Can’t give up”

After the first period ended 6-0, the game was decided and Dallas played the game and won it 7-1.

– There is not much to say when it is 6-0. You just have to go through it. You can’t stop. You can’t give up. We put ourselves in that situation, says Penguins captain Sidney Crosby according to the NHL.

It was just for Pittsburgh to try to get through the game and get something out of the upset.

“Played at the top of our ability”

– We have to keep playing and see what happens. So apart from that you cannot change the period. It happened. We have to find ways to play through it, Crosby thinks.

The overrun in the first period was not something that the middle team Dallas had expected.

– We expected a tough away game and that against a team with an impressive history. We knew we were going to have to play at the absolute top of our ability and I think we did, said Dallas coach Pete DeBoer.
