Ice cream trucks are used to store corpses in Gaza

Over 2,500 Palestinians have been killed so far following Israel’s attacks on Gaza, according to Palestinian health authorities. This is reported by Reuters on Sunday.

At the same time, there is no space in the hospitals to store the bodies of the deceased. Hospitals have instead started storing bodies in ice cream vans.

The doctor Yasser Ali shows a truck, which on the outside is filled with pictures of different ice creams, but which is filled with white body bags on the inside.

– The morgue inside the hospital only has space for ten bodies, says Yasser Ali.

He shows off another ice cream truck, this time with bloody bodies that have not yet been identified.

– These are unknown bodies that should be given a dignified burial.
