The popular brand will get rid of its eco-label as of April 24. According to the international marine research area ICES, this is because shrimp fishing on the West Coast is unsustainable.

Amendment:

In another email News24 explaining Kim Engblompress officer at Ica, that this will not affect Ica’s central range.

“Regarding our shrimp, we want to clarify that there will be no difference in ICA’s central range. We continue to sell North Sea shrimp as usual, they come from other sub-areas that are still MSC certified.”
