Christmas is just around the corner and something that is almost as associated with Christmas as Santa himself is the Christmas candy. There are many kinds of Christmas sweets to bake for Christmas and everyone has their favorites and classics.

Burnt almonds, fudge, crackers and chewy cookies are usually high on many people’s lists. But also the classics “rocky road”.

Ica’s recipe for rocky road

Ica recently released a recipe on how to make rocky road, but without nuts. In the classic recipe, peanuts and almonds are usually two of the ingredients.

But now Ica has come out and announced that the prescription has been withdrawn. The reason is that one of the ingredients in Ica’s “Rocky road without nuts” contained precisely nuts.

ICA recalls prescription: “Warning”

The mistake was discovered by a customer who left a comment under the recipe.

“Warning all nut allergy sufferers!! ICA has missed that the colors contain hazelnuts…”, the customer wrote in his comment.

ICA thanked the customer for his attention and added a warning to the already existing prescription. On their website, they have also stated that the recipe has been recalled.

ICA on the serious mistake: “Brokenness in our routines”

ICA also writes in a message that they broke their routines.

“At Ica, we strive for a high quality of our recipes and the information regarding them. This time we have broken our routines, which we really regret. The recipe is now updated, but we ask you to be aware that some of Werther’s products contain nuts or traces of nuts and to always check the list of contents on the packaging,” writes Ica on its homepage.
