ICA stops popular product – after alarm about rats

ICA stops popular product after alarm about rats

ICA stops deliveries from the bakery Bake my day, which makes bread and buns, among other things. It is due to alarms about filth and rats inside the bakery, reports The evening paper.

– After dialogue with the supplier, ICA has made an overall assessment and made the decision to pause all central purchases from the supplier until further notice, says Ica Sweden’s quality manager Lena Sparring to the newspaper.

“Was everywhere in the bakery”

On Thursday, Aftonbladet was able to reveal that there were rodents inside the Bake my day bakery in Huddinge. Several people testify that they have seen rats inside the bakery and had to take care of them themselves.

– We had to start the day by scaring away the rats that were everywhere in the bakery, says one person to the newspaper.

But the CEO disagrees with the witnesses.

– That must be some fucking bullshit. It must be some pole shot who has come up with something stupid, he tells them The evening paper.

Several grocery giants such as Coop and Axfood want to follow up on information about the abuses, report Grocery news.
