Ibrahim discovered the vandalization of Korans at Linnaeus University

During the week, someone vandalized Korans with bacon on two occasions. Thursday’s vandalism was discovered by political science student Ibrahim Abdulkadir.

– Immediately when I opened the cabinet, I felt the smell, he tells SVT.

In the clip above you can see him show off the destroyed Korans, and tell us about the event.

Student: “Feels insecure”

The university has reported the incidents to the police.

As a direct consequence of vandalization, universities have placed a security guard in close proximity to the corridor, according to Marie Brorsson, security manager at Linnaeus University.

Despite this, some students feel worried about the incident.

– I get sad and it feels insecure, says a student who wants to be anonymous.

The student union also responds to the event.

– This is serious and completely unacceptable. The university should be a place where all students should be able to seek knowledge, regardless of belief, says Mia Parkkinen, chairman of Linen University Student Union.
