IBM buys Apptio for 46 billion

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – IBMthe US IT and cloud giant, has entered into a definitive agreement with Vista Equity Partners for the purchase of Apptioa leader in finance and operations software for managing and optimizing IT, for $4.6 billion. The Apptio acquisition will accelerate the advancement of IBM’s IT automation capabilities, it said in a statement.

Apptio will be acquired with available money. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions and is expected to close on second half of 2023.
