Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) is now commenting on SD leader Jimmie Åkesson’s previous statements that some Swedish mosques should be demolished.
Kristersson tells SVT that it is “a disrespectful and polarizing way of expressing oneself” and that it gives a wrong picture of what Sweden stands for internationally.
– I think you should come to your senses, and think that it is a dangerous time we are living in right now.
Kristersson does not know if Åkesson’s actions can affect the NATO process.
– It is bad that Sweden is being recognized internationally for things that Sweden does not stand for, he says.
